We all find ways of coping with stress. Some coping strategies may or may not be helpful to you especially if you elicit negative responses to distract yourself temporarily. While some workplace stress is normal, excessive stress can interfere with productivity and performance and your ability to deal with stress can make a difference between success and failure at work. Positive responses give you a chance to improve yourself and work on your problems. However, the effects of coping responses differ from individual to individual. It only takes a matter of choosing what works for you.

Work Stress

We all experience stress when at work. No matter what your role is, there will always be some form of pressure such as approaching deadlines, relationships with co-workers, things to do, setting priorities and schedule. Work is considered one of the top stressors we experience every day. Sometimes, you can get thrown into situations that are above your skill and expertise and you wouldn’t want to come off as not having what it takes to do the job or perform the task. Whatever it is that you are experiencing right now, always think that everyone experiences stress. Have the capacity to do something positive out of it. Your coping mechanism towards stress can make or break you. That’s why make sure you keep on the right track.
