The state of being healthy is an important part of one’s life. But thanks to junk food, busy schedule, full-time desk jobs and overtime shifts which come as an added advantage with the evolution of computers and high tech corporates, remaining fit has become a dream to the ones who don’t have enough time to invest in the gym or any such physical activities. Thus obesity has become an unavoidable problem among the today’s 7.2 billion people.

Fat accumulation not only requires you to get a different size of clothing but also comes with a large number of associated health issues, which if left untreated, may even prove fatal.

Burning fat may seem a hard task; keeping it from returning a still harder one: but with the correct plan and proper execution, no task is hard or unattainable. Follow these points to burn your fat faster and remain healthy.

  • Eat a healthy breakfast

Eating a proper breakfast is the first and foremost step towards healthy living.

Eating your breakfast can help to save a lot more calories which may creep in during the evening snack. Skipping the breakfast is reported to make the person crave for more food during the later time of the day, thus causing to consume more calories than you saved by skipping the breakfast. Also, plan your breakfast in such a way that it is balanced. Cut down on starchy carbs and sugared fruit juices; instead, opt for whole fruits which can provide you with all the required vitamins as well as your daily dose of fiber. The fiber plays a key role in fat loss and boosts your metabolic rate by releasing the bacteria responsible for lowering fat accumulation in the gut, thus cutting down the rate of obesity.

  • Drink the correct fluids

Lower the sugared fruit juice intake, take up green tea. Sugared fruit juices increase the sugar level which may be burned in the initial stages but the excess would be stored as fat. On the other hand, green tea increases your metabolism thus leading to burning fat. Coffee and tea are too reported to increase metabolism owing to the caffeine in them, but this isn’t recommended for caffeine may induce other problems like lack of sleep, addiction etc. Green tea is way more healthy with the antioxidants, acting as a detox agent too. Also drinking water half an hour before your meal has also shown to increase your metabolism. A glass of red wine with dinner is also supposed to help in weight management.

  • Proper exercise

Cardio and weight training are your best buddies for weight loss and burning fat. Even if you can’t hit the gym, bodyweight core strengthening exercises are more than enough for all-around health and to burn the excess fat. Crunches, push-ups, chin-ups, and squats are all you need for speedy weight loss. Also, remember to drink a cup of coffee or green tea half an hour before the workout session. This increases your metabolism thus increasing the rate at which the accumulated fat is burned.

  • Plan your diet

If you really are into burning fat, plan your diet in such a way that your intake of starchy carbs and trans fat is less and the intake of protein and fiber is high. Eat five to six short meals rather than three full meals a day. But be sure not to have drastic calorie reductions for this may have ill effects on the overall health. More green veggies( whole) are a must. Consume fewer calories than you burn, rotate carbs too. This can be done by choosing a different grain than the previous day to consume. Always rely on the experts while planning your diet.

  • Get proper sleep

Seven to nine hours of good sleep is all you need to lose all that extra weight.

Lack of sleep releases chemicals like leptin and ghrelin which increases hunger, thus increasing your daily intake of calories. Poor sleep tends to increase the stress hormone cortisol which makes you feel less satisfied even after a meal.

Weight gain is inevitable in this busy life. But one can easily lose it by bringing some healthy changes to the lifestyle. Cut down stress and stick onto your exercise routine; most people go wrong at this point. They lose fat and then procrastinate their routine, thus bringing back the double of what they had previously.

So eat, drink and exercise well, get good sleep; it’s the small things which matter the most. And always remember, health is wealth!
