It is the performance of students in examinations that determine their level of intelligence. Exams have a lot to do with the life of all the students. What they score in their examination has a great saying in their future too. They are always asked about their marks wherever they go. Thus, examination is a great part of student’s life. While there are students who score well and stay focused during their exams there are also some students who go bananas when the exam season is about to hit. They start acting crazy and nervous. They find it hard to focus on anything. And this results in their poor grades.

Understanding the fact that some students find it quite a challenging task to stay focused and calm during their examinations, we have come up with some basic ideas that will help the students to be more comfortable when their exams are approaching or going on.

  • FINDING A SUITABLE WORK ENVIRONMENT

It is very important to find a suitable work environment. An environment in which you feel comfortable and the one that is calm. The place you choose to study should be quiet. A calm and easy-going place will match your comfort level and you will be able to focus more on what you study.

  • COLLECT ALL THAT YOU NEED

Whenever you are going to start study, always remember to keep all the things that you need right by your side. This will help you in having everything in just the reach of your hand and you will save the time which you would otherwise waste looking for things.

  • IT IS GOOD TO HAVE A STUDY PARTNER

Find a friend or a partner with whom you can study. When you study with a friend or a partner you are better able to understand or memorize things in a much better way. You find it easy and interesting to study. While some people find it annoying to study with any other person, the methods has proved to be beneficial for others.

  • TAKE BREAKS IN BETWEEN

If you continuously study for hours, you will easily get bored. In fact, you will find it difficult to memorize things after a certain time. So, always remember to take breaks in between. After you are done studying for 45 minutes or 1 hour, take a 15-20 minutes break. Do something else during the break. This will help you focus in a much better way when you get back to study.

  • STAY MOTIVATED

Set a goal and push yourself to do better than before. Once you reach to the set level, reward yourself in any way you like. This will help you stay motivated and you will be able to perform better. Now this requires a little bit of self-control so ask someone else to control it for you.

Remember to stay away from computer and minimize the use of internet. This will help you to stay focused on your study and you will be less distracted. So, try to avoid the use of internet and computer.

  • DO NOT GET PANIC

We understand that exam time bring nervousness. All you must remember is that it is just an exam and not the end of the world. So, stay calm, do not get panic and focus on your studies. Once you start focusing on your studies by being calm, you will able to learn things better. This will ultimately help you to perform better during in your exams and you will be able to score excellent grades too.
