2. Organize the details and include the most important information first. Start with your name and complete contact information, most recent certifications or licenses received educational attainment, courses, honors and awards, job experiences, and skills.

3.Use the right keywords. Many companies nowadays are using the computer database to search for candidates. This means that the HR department are using specific keywords to search for potential employees. If your resume doesn’t contain that specific keyword, then you’ll not be selected for the interview. Check the company’s job ad to have a clue on such keywords.

4. Use Effective Titles. Aside from keywords, the titles for each section of your resume should be catchy and should grab the reader’s attention.

5. List all your Accomplishments instead of the job description; identify your achievements instead of responsibilities. This will directly tell the hiring manager how you’ll be able to help the company. Another important point is to explain the benefits of your skills and how you’re going to help uplifting the company.

6. Check the content. Omit personal information, never use the first person “I”, be truthful, use bullets in enumerating skills and achievements, and most of all: check for errors in grammar, typography, and content. One slip can hinder your chance at being hired.

7. Use the proper length. The ideal length of a resume varies with the company’s preference. But to be safe, one to two pages will do as long as you put in all the necessary information for you to get hired.

8. Format your resume wisely. Most hiring managers scan the resume for future reference. So if it is not printed properly and is poorly organized the slimmer the chance for you to get hired. Opt for white paper and white background and use space between each idea and content.
