Honda Philippines launches its new revolutionary products, GX Cyclone Engines

(Manila, Philippines – November 9, 2016) – Honda Philippines Inc. added another significant milestone on its cap with the introduction of their latest revolutionary products, the GX Cyclone Engines: GX 160T2 QCT and GX 390T2 QCT.

The official launch held at the Century Mall Events Place, Makati City, gathered all leaders from the construction industry, academe and media to formally introduce their power products GX Cyclone Engines.

The GX Cyclone Engines are air-cooled 4-stroke OHV engines equipped with cyclone cleaners capable to do three-stage filtering: first, by pre-cleaning large debris, and sand and, next filtering of dust at the foam element, then removing the fine particles through paper filter element – all of to extend the engine maintenance interval.

The guests were welcomed by Makati City Vice Mayor Monique Lagdameo and Mr. Daiki Mihara president of Honda Philippines Inc., Mr. Mihara also talked about the Honda Philippines journey to what is today is a history of revolution.

On the other hand, Mr. Kojiro Takasu, Bloc Manager, Asian Honda Motor Co., Ltd. Power Products Business Division & Asia-Oceana Planning and Marketing discussed Honda’s 60 years of experience and readiness to take advantage of the growth trend when it comes to the construction state of the ASEAN region and the Philippines as an emerging market in the construction industry. And the recent announcement of FHI (Fuji Heavy Industries Ltd.’s) to terminate Industrial Products Business and concentrate management resources in the automotive business, ending its Subaru Industrial Power Product line distribution until September 2017.

While Mr. Julius L. Francisco, General Manager, Woodfields International, LLC and Vice President for Business Development and Marketing of Woodfields Consultants Inc., discussed the trend and prediction of the construction industry in the Philippines. “The Technology and innovation of Honda Power Products is timely to address the current situation in the Philippine construction industry thus, the demand of manpower, appropriate and quality products are still the key for the success of this industry.” “That is why; I believe Honda Philippines is challenged to fill the void and ready to make a leap”.

Mr. Go Tanaka, Chief Engineer Honda R&D Southeast Asia discussed the benefits, usage and features of the GX Cyclone Engine. There was a product demonstration via live feed video of the new GX Cyclone Engines with the Honda Philippines’ Team.

Honda GX Cyclone Engines’ new design offers even better fuel economy than before. It also ensures to improve engine performance with its built-in air cleaner and filters the dirt and debris from outside air that passes through the engine. With this kind of engine, construction equipment will perform better and last longer.

The Honda Power Products team also prepared an exciting prize of EG1000 for the raffle facilitated by Mr. Raymund Cristobal, Honda Power Products Section Manager before the closing remarks of Mr. Masaki Hagiwara, Assistant Vice President and Power Products Department Manager and the ceremonial toast with the Honda executives.
